Shopping can be an enjoyable pastime or hobby for lots of people. If you are jetting off on holiday this summer, there will be lots of opportunities to shop until you drop. Many destinations will offer lots of excellent shopping destinations, from pretty local markets to large, fancy shopping malls. Think about these things before spending money abroad:

• Quality. Check the item over to make sure it is in good condition. You won’t be able to return it once you get home.
• Is it real? Lots of markets and shopping stalls will sell fake designer goods. Don’t be fooled – if it’s too cheap to be designer, it probably isn’t.
• Transporting your new purchases home. Leave some space in your suitcase for all those extras you will inevitably bring back with you. Make sure you can take everything you buy back into the country – things like seeds will not be allowed.
