Why Do People Spend So Much On Designer Brands?
Posted on October 22, 2015 at 9:30 pm
First off, usually consumers invest in designer brands as they confidence in the quality of the company. Investing in luxury food brands gives off the perception that the food may taste better, whilst investing in a luxury car means the drive may be better. It’s the exact same thing with clothing brands. People invest heavily into their clothes, as they feel as if the quality of the product will be worth it in the long run.
The other opinion is that, consumerism is running rife on the world and people just want to fit in. For example, some people may feel that by wearing a designer brand, they will be socially accepted. You may laugh but this does make a lot of sense. You won’t exactly see billionaires wearing Primark clothing. It’s all about being fashionable and trendy.

Technology and fashion
Posted on September 13, 2015 at 9:03 am
Despite my love of fashion I have never been a huge fan of accessories. I can hear the screams from my colleagues and friends right now who are throwing their toys out of their prams and preparing to have me hung drawn and quartered for this travesty of fashion proportions. I don’t like bracelets, necklaces or, even, watches. I don’t like things on my forearms, heck, I don’t even like having long sleeves since it feels constricting.
A phone though? A piece of technology? You had better believe I am going to be flaunting that as an accessory to any outfit I might have on. In fact, once I can afford it, I might even get numerous cases to colour co-ordinate with my outfits. I am back in their good books now, given how I say anti-fashion things all the time while I am at work.

Tight t shirts: A massive no no
Posted on August 25, 2015 at 3:26 pm
When I was a little younger I thought tight t shirts were the bomb diggity. Showing off your figure a little better, making your arms look bigger but at the cost of, probably, poorer circulation and, as you get older, realising you look like a bit of a twat. It still happens today; people who are way too old to be wearing skin tight t shirts flaunt them as if looking at their bodies is some kind of privilege that we should all be welcome to.
It isn’t. In fact it’s something that none of us need to see. I am all for fitted t shirts; ones that show off the figure a little more. Allowing people who are proud of their physique to show off a little to the rest of us layabouts who could well do with cutting back and going for a walk every now and then. My message to you all? Drop the tight tee shirts.

How To Wear White T-Shirts In The Winter
Posted on August 19, 2015 at 8:44 pm
A staple in most wardrobes, the white t-shirt is a versatile piece of clothing. With winter coming up in the next few months, we thought it was only right that we try and guide you towards the fashionable direction, when it comes to wearing a white t-shirt in the winter.
- Try keeping your outfit casual by wearing the tee under an open checked shirt.
- Consider wearing your tee under an open chambray shirt and sneakers, to give that casual look to your outfit.
- With the 80’s style back in fashion, tuck your t-shirt into a pair of high-waisted jeans to give that retro feel.

The summer shirt
Posted on July 27, 2015 at 2:29 pm
I was recently working at a well known music festival in the United Kingdom. While we were running through the pre-festival rounds and discussing things to consider I asked “well, what do we wear?” Given that we were working and not just boozing ourselves stupid over the weekend I thought maybe we needed to look a little bit smarter than the average festival raver. “Just wear normal clothes” they said, they live in London and I don’t; definitions of normal are vastly different from here to there.
So I wore a shirt, a smart/casual summer shirt. Pale green, slightly loosely fitted from Jack Wills and it worked. The eyes from the ladies were there, the envious looks, too, greeted me over the course of the weekend. New sunglasses and a slick haircut helped as well as I strode around the backstage areas looking right at home. I could get used to that kind of look, and that kind of attention.
