Summer Outfits for a Baby
Posted on July 19, 2018 at 6:10 am
Summer is warm enough for us and keeping cool can be a challenge – so just think what it must be like for a baby! They can really struggle to keep cool in hot weather, so it’s important you choose appropriate outfits for them.
If you have a girl, you might want to dress her in floaty dresses to help keep cool. This will feel much nicer for your baby than putting trousers on, which can really raise the body temperature, especially if they are fitted leggings. Boys can wear shorts and dungarees, if possible, make sure they are baggy so it’s easy and comfortable for him to move around.
It’s great fun shopping for summer baby clothes, and a nice option for you to spend some quality time with your baby. They will probably have grown out of their new outfits by next year, so pick something that you love, but that is also cost effective.

Denim Skirts are Coming Back into Fashion
Posted on May 17, 2018 at 4:22 pm
Remember having a denim skirt as a teenager? Chances are, whatever your age, you owned a denim miniskirt at some point in your life, because they constantly come in and out of fashion. If you love some denim during the summer months, then you’re in luck: the denim skirt is back in once again.
Shops are actually stocking a wide range of denim skirt styles, from miniskirts to longer line skirts. This gives you different options to form different outfit combinations. You can wear skirts with tights or choose to go au naturale as the weather gets warmer.
Denim skirts are highly versatile because they are available for different prices depending on where you like to shop. Many denim skirts are going to be very good value, whilst others might be more expensive if they come with a designer price tag. Choose light or dark denim to complement the rest of your outfit.

Are Skinny Jeans Still on Trend?
Posted on November 28, 2017 at 7:31 pm
Skinny jeans have been on trend for almost as long as we can remember. Gone are the days of bootleg jeans or straight leg styles – the skinny style has been the most popular look for years. Could it really be the case that other styles are beginning to take over?
The boyfriend jean style has been creeping up in popularity in recent times. With a baggier look and casual style, it is a type of denim that you can wear anywhere. This is also the case with the cropped kick flare, an unusual style that is starting to gain in popularity towards the later part of 2017. As the name suggested, this style finishes part way down the leg and ends in a wide flare.
That’s not to say that skinny jeans are dying out. They’re not going to go anywhere any time soon. But there certainly are now some other styles to rival them, which is more than we have seen in a while.

Is your Hair Ready for Winter?
Posted on November 1, 2017 at 10:30 pm
Hair needs a little bit of TLC in the winter. It is cold, rainy and your hair is going to suffer as a result. Luckily, there are many things you can do that will help to maintain your hair’s condition and keep it looking good through the winter months. Here is our advice:
- Use a good quality conditioner. This will help nourish and look after your hair on a day to day basis.
- Use an extra conditioning treatment. Apply one at home, or treat yourself and have a nourishing treatment applied in the salon at your next visit.
- Have your hair trimmed regularly. It is going to get more dry and damaged in the winter so your split ends will be noticeable.
- Use lots of hairspray. Damp, cold winter weather can make hair frizzy so put on a good layer of hairspray as a barrier to the moisture in the air.
