See Georgia May Jagger pose with her Boyfriend in Hudson Jeans New Campaign!

Posted on February 9, 2013 at 8:56 am

Model, rock royalty and possessor of perfect pins, Georgia May Jagger has been working away in front of the camera for the latest in her series of Hudson jeans campaigns. The English rose was posing in various denim configurations – and in an added twist – Hudson have instagrammed the whole thing for our benefit.

Not only Miss Jagger, but another of the rock ‘n roll clan is featured, Georgia’s brother James as well as her extremely photogenic boyfriend, Josh McLellan who is James’s bandmate in the band Turbogeist. Awww. What a cute couple they are. Hudson explained; ‘Georgia and James are extremely close and have a fun relationship and that was important to us… to harness that energy,’ about the campaign which was shot in cool locales around London, like Abbey Road Studios, Sweetings fish and chips restaurant, and Camden Market.

Hudson’s brand CEO, Peter Kim, explained just what it is the brand love so much about Georgia May; ‘We like the fact that we have a real enduring relationship with Georgia. We were her first campaign. Since 2009, HUDSON and Georgia have grown and evolved and we love the fact that we have been able to do it together.’ Hear hear.

They certainly know how to get our attention – as well as the groovy denim, and stripey monochrome jeans, there’s nothing we like more than an Instagram snap or a celebrity couple being cute together. SO instgram snaps of a celebrity couple is pretty much our idea of perfection. . .

Celia Birtwell To Collaborate With Uniqlo

Posted on February 3, 2013 at 8:18 pm

Oh clever old Uniqlo! Fresh from teaming up with Orla Kiely, the high street giants have paired with another Brit legend – Celia Birtwell. The 1960’s designer is working on a collection that’ll hit stores on 21 March 2013 and includes T-shirts, dresses and bags in Birtwell’s distinctive print.

Together with her late husband Ossie Clark, Birtwell was basically the woman who made London Swing in the 1960’s – and beyond. They dressed fashion icons like Marianne Faithful and Bianca Jagger and attracted models like Patti Boyd to walk in their fashion shows. Their designs were so iconic that today their vintage pieces are so sought-after that Kate Moss is known to hire a helicopter to visit their C20 warehouse in Devon.

When Birtwell teamed up with Topshop almost six years ago it was the high street giant’s most successful designer collaboration – beating even that of her supermodel fan Moss.

So we expect great things for this Uniqlo line. Birtwell has said she signed up for the collaboration because of the store’s ‘terribly clever, very basic designs and great colors. You can’t misunderstand their clothing, and the atmosphere in Uniqlo shops is very peaceful.’ Well, it won’t be for long. With the pieces starting at £9.90 and a dress costing just £29.90, we’re sold!
