Meet Cora Corre, Vivienne Westwood’s Granddaughter Tipped To Be The Next Cara Delevingne

When your grandmother is Vivienne Westwood and your mum Serena Rees founded Agent Provocateur, you’ve got some serious fashion legacy to live up to. Luckily, new model on the block, Cora Corre seems more than capable.

The 16-year-old stars in the latest issue of LOVE magazine, modeling Marc Jacobs’s new cosmetics line – inspired by the rite of passage teenage girls go through putting on make-up. ‘I thought it would be fun to give Cora and her friends the make-up to apply themselves,’ LOVE editor-in-chief Katie Grand told The Evening Standard. ‘Cora’s always loved make-up — ever since she stayed over at our house when she was about 11.’

Grand has a well-cemented reputation for creating and champion the hottest new London young ones to watch, so using Cora for her latest ‘Sweetie Issue’ of LOVE is significant. So what do we know about Cora On the one hand she’s said to be a normal 16-year-old who’s just finished doing GCSES at Bedales school in Hampshire and whose mum insisted she wanted to keep her in Start-rite Mary Jane shoes as long as possible. On the other, she’s just starred in a Stussy campaign and spent her 16th birthday enjoying brunch at the Wolesely wearing a red-strapless gown that was a gift of “granny V”.

It’s clear that Cora – who accompanied Westwood to Buckingham Palace to pick up her MBE – has already proved to be a huge influence on her grandmother’s collections. ‘Cora told me about all these groups at school: goths, hippies, girls with computers, and it suits the collection,’ she said backstage of her 2009 designs. All of which leaves us thinking Cora’s got a firm fashion future ahead of her. One we’ll certainly be watching closely…

Prince George of Cambridge, The Fashion Icon

Posted on April 4, 2014 at 7:42 pm

Yes, it feels a bit weird writing Prince George of Cambridge and fashion icon in the same sentence when the royal baby is less than a week old but that’s the conversation that’s already started around the world.

In fact, some are actually speculating that the birth of George could actually be bad news for the fashion industry – because he’s a boy.  “[If] Prince [George] was a princess, it would have created a greater impact on kids apparel, “ Marshal Cohen, Chief Industry Analyst at NPD Group, Inc, said this week according to CNN. ‘In the U.S., girls apparel makes up 53% of the sales even though they don’t make up 53% of the kids population. The girls market for apparel is 10% greater than the boys market in dollar volume.”

Cohen points out that the fashion world has hugely benefited from the so-called Kate Effect – whereby designers who the Duchess endorses see a surge in sales. It’s certainly true that since Kate wore that Issa dress to announce her engagement, the brand has opened new stores internationally – most recently in Japan – and Reiss MD has admitted that whenever Kate is spotted wearing their dresses the phones start ringing off the hook.

Still, it seems a little early to dismiss Prince George as a fashion icon just because of his gender. After all, at just three days old he was already making his own impact on the retail world – causing a stampede for the swaddle his stylish mum had chosen to wrap him in. The makers of the £32 Aden + Anais bird-patterned “Jungle Jam” blanket which George left the hospital in sold out throughout the UK. And GH Hurt and Company who made the £45 blanket he made his first public appearance in also reported a surge in interest.

So it seems just as there were 10% of new parents in Britain waiting to name their new baby until the Royal birth so they could bestow it with the same title (yes, really!) Prince George will – like his mother – become one of the world’s most watched babies. Something unisex kidswear designers will no doubt be desperate to capitalize on…

Style Hunter hit up the new space, where a bevy of fashion industry beauties wardrobe’d up in lots of denim, along with pool-slides, monochrome and a headscarf or two. We also noticed a continuing penchant for dip-dyed locks.

On His 70th Birthday, We Celebrate Sir Mick Jagger’s Style Genius

Posted on March 31, 2014 at 8:40 pm

There aren’t many septuagenarians who continue to inspire legions of style disciples. But then not every 70 year is Mick Jagger. Since the 60’s the original MJ has been defining and re-defining the rock star look, and his lithe figure complete with his famous snake hips – girlfriend L’Wren Scott recently admitted to Grazia that he still wears as 28’’ inch waist jean – has made his fashion choices appeal to both guys and gals.

Take Alexa Chung for example, who always referenced Jagger when asked about her personal style icons or Harry Styles who many compare both looks and style wise to the Rolling Stone frontman . Sartorially speaking Jagger’s look manages to semiotically  represent sex, drugs, rock ‘n’ roll, and therein lies the allure. But there isn’t just the one Jagger look, indeed he has spawned several iconic styles which continue to resonate today.

Alexa Chung References Sir Mick Jagger as a Personal Style Icon

Most famous, perhaps is Jagger’s 60’s style vibe – all louche silk shirts un-buttoned to the navel, teamed with ultra slim trews and immaculately accessorized with hats, man jewels and scarves. Then there’s his noughties incarnation, clad in Hedi Slimane for Dior Homme, proving quite how skinny jeans and tailoring can be. And who could forget Jagger’s late 70s spangly jumpsuit and eyeliner moment… basically there are far too many MJ looks to choose from.

Blogger Tanya Burr Reveals Her Diary In Pictures From Harry Styles To Flying Saucers!

Posted on March 29, 2014 at 10:21 am

At just 23 years old Tanya Burr already has Make-Up Artist, Fashion and Beauty Blogger and YouTube beauty guru on her CV and she’s fast becoming a regular face on the red carpet at parties and premieres. Here at Grazia Daily we’ve been following her work for some time now and have loved the tips she offers up in her weekly feature where she reveals how to get the beauty looks of A-list stars from Taylor Swift to Lana Del Rey.

Now Tanya has agreed to give us a behind the scenes look at what she gets up to in a weekly diary of pictures. This week Tanya reminisced on time she had previously spent with One Direction hearthrob Harry Styles. Swoon! “He was so lovely,” she wrote, alongside a photo of the pair. No, we’re not jel in the slightest.

Tanya also had some family fun, spending time with her dad, “he gets excited when people like my photos so let’s get this one lots of likes for him,” she wrote, alongside a shot of the duo playfully sticking their tongues out. Tanya also gave us a peek at her makeup for the occasion, having chosen to opt for a perfectly applied winged liner, bronzed skin and pink glossy lips.

The sun was out and so were the florals! Tanya shared a gorge pastel coloured floral jumpsuit from Topshop (we want!) and a floral snapback: “Trying on hats,” she wrote. “Vote if you think I should get this floral Snapback just for fun.” She also sent us on a trip down memory lane with a shot of flying saucers – remember those! Yum. She also shared a shot of her very healthy breakfast, which consisted of cherry’s, raspberries, pineapple and tea – of course!

Scroll through the gallery above for Tanya Burr’s week in pictures and visit her website for more…
