Has Victoria Beckham Cut Her Hair Into A Grunge Bob Inspired By Christy Turlington

Posted on July 4, 2013 at 1:18 pm

Breaking Twitpic alert: Victoria Beckham has just tweeted the image below of her lovely self getting glammed up on what appears to be a shoot. ‘Loving the hair! Thank u Tina Outen @Tinadidit x vb,’ the designer said along with the behind-the-scenes snap. How intriguing!

Although a cut hasn’t been confirmed, it does look like VB has gone for the chop. Because rather than the long, swishy ponytail we saw her sporting this weekend, the ‘do is chin-length and tousled. It’s more tomboyish Alexa Chung than sleek and polished, no We’re crowning the brand new look VB’s grunge bob – and we likey.

Having a nosey on her desk, we spy a black and white shot amongst the hair tools. On closer inspection, we can confirm it’s an image of Christy Turlington posing topless on the beach. Could this beachy style be Victoria’s hairspiration Peter Lindenberg is the man behind this (and many other) iconic supermodel photos and it’s no secret retro ’90s beauty is all the rage, so you can hardly blame the woman.

As for Tina Outen – the lady behind the ‘do – she’s described on Twitter as a ‘Hairstylist and Hair Colourist’ so we know Victoria’s in safe hands. And if she does indeed spend ‘days off colouring rainbows at Bleach London’ as her profile suggests, this is one super-cool lady. Ooh go on, give Lady Becks a pink dip-dye, Tina!

Earlier today, Victoria treated her followers to yet more photos of her hard at work on a mystery shoot. ‘So excited to be shooting with Boo George, finally!! x vb,’ she said along with a pic of her with concentrated face on and sitting alongside the Irish photographer (not to be confused with ’80s singer Boy George).

In fact, Boo George has become famous for his striking yet understated black and white shots – not unlike Lindenberg’s – including this one of Lara Stone and another of Freja Beha Erichsen looking mighty fierce. So he’s bound to do wonders for our VB.

Stay tuned as we bring you more details on this exciting hair development and until then, check out Victoria’s hairvolution in the gallery below…

Amanda Seyfried Replaces Liv Tyler As The Face Of Givenchy’s Very Irresistible Fragrance

Posted on July 2, 2013 at 2:14 pm

We knew that Ms Seyfried was a fan of Givenchy – the actress jetted over to Paris in February to watch the Autumn 2013 collection from the front row, she wore a nude mermaid fishtail frock to the Golden Globe Awards earlier this year and she opted for a fiery red tulle gown for the Vanity Fair party after the Oscars. And now we know the story behind her red carpet loyalty: Amanda is the new face of Givenchy’s fragrance campaign.

The star has been signed as the face of Very Irresistible Givenchy, taking over from her fellow Hollywood star Liv Tyler. This is Amanda’s second beauty campaign, as she is also the face of Clé de Peau Beauté, so already has that smouldering stare perfected.

And what was the star’s reaction to Givenchy’s job offer In true hilarious fashion, the beauty dropped the f-bomb. ‘F–k yeah. It’s an honest collaboration’, she tells WWD. ‘I’m proud to be a part of [the brands I’m involved with] because what they do is really cool, especially Givenchy — they’re so artistic. And I feel like I have a foot in the fashion industry now.’

Amanda Seyfried wearing Givenchy

The ad camapign was styled by none other than Mr Riccardo Tisci so we can expect the usual black and white chicness. It’ll include both print and TV ads shot by Glen Luchford (print) and Cédric Klapisch (TV) – but we’ll have to wait until October until we see Amanda x Givenchy featuring in the glossies.

So what can we expect from the campaign Well, for Liv’s ad she sported a smoky eye, glossy black lips and rock n’ roll attitute to sing Need You Tonight. We also saw Liv going for a midnight spin in a speed boat down the Seine in a VERY irresistible backless little black dress. So will Amanda showcase her musical talents too It’s no secret she’s a fan of strumming the ol’ guitar and showcased her marvellous singing chops in Les Mis.

Liv Tyler’s Givenchy campaign

With her mermaid-like beauty and tumbling blonde locks, it’ll be interesting to see her darker side for Givenchy. She’s not, however, likely to create her own celebrity fragrance as she told WWD, ‘They’re hard work, and the more you do, they take away from your work as an actor. I’m doing these two campaigns because I care about them and the people involved. They’re great things to be attached to.’

Nicole Richie Updates Her Hair’drobe With A Sleek Bob – Is This Her Best Hairstyle Yet

Posted on June 30, 2013 at 6:01 pm

When Nicole Richie made her first appearance in The Simple Life back in 2003, who would have thought the 21-year old starlet would turn into the fashionista and A-List beauty babe that she is today Nicole has taken some serious hair risks over the years- experimenting with everything from neon extensions to blonde perms, proving that her hair history really ‘aint that ‘simple’ after all!

Miss Richie was out and about last night across the pond sporting an awesome, brand-spanking new 50’s-esque bob which we’ve been swooning over all morning. The cut really emphasises her petite face and bone structure- good work, Nic! In our experience, bobs are uber-tricky and it takes a lot of work to make sure the final ‘do doesn’t look flat. Nic-Rich pulls this off perfectly with bundles of volume and bounce. We love! However, it’s been quite the beauty journey for the mother-of-two socialite, who’s gone from teenage princess to one of Hollywood’s hottest glamour glitterati over the past decade.

When it comes to hair, Miss Richie’s seen it all. Over the course of The Simple Life, Nicole was seen with a lot of hair extensions, beach-babe waves and a fair few trucker caps to cover up any dirt from the previous night’s excesses. However, we reckon it was back in 2007 when pregnant with daughter Harlow that her style really evolved. Ever since then, Nic’s pulled off some seriously stunning looks, and we’ve been forever envious of her sleek bangs and boho waves.

EXCLUSIVE: Fashion Blogger Peony Lim Shows Us What’s In Her Makeup Bag

Posted on June 28, 2013 at 4:52 pm

Not only is Peony Lim a total style icon and fash-blogger supreme, she’s also drop-dead gorgeous and a true beauty, which led us to think that the contents of her makeup bag might be very interesting indeed… We’re huge fans of the way Peony effortlessly pulls herself together, always looking totally fab and super-sophisticated.

We were lucky enough to catch up with Miss Lim last week who was more than happy to spill the beans on her beauty booty…

1. Eve Lom Cleanser, £40 for 50ml – Nothing removes makeup, mascara the whole works, like this product. You don’t feel rubbed raw after, you just feel clean and exfoliated. I couldn’t live without it.

2. Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Lip Balm, £1.89 – I obsessively put lip balm on as my lips can get very dry in London, this never makes you feel sick from an over powering fragrance and works wonderfully, it isn’t thick and yuck, it’s more like putting moisturiser.

3. Diorshow Extase Mascara, £23 – I have long lashes but they are quite fine so this mascara is great for pumping them up without crumbling.

4. By Terry Teint Delectation, £63.50 and Eclat de Rose Tinted Moisturiser, £60 – It smells wonderful and is very gentle on sensitive skin like mine. The colours are soft and don’t make you peachy which I hate. Its just the right amount of coverage.

5. Caron Powders, £38.50 – I hate glittery powders unless you are on holiday.  Its nearly impossible to get bronzer without shimmer now, so I stick with this classic French brand. I think the French are really beauty experts. I use a invisible setting power from them and then a bronzer on the top.

6. Nars Blusher, £21.50 and Highlighter, £21.50 – They come in a huge variety of colours and they are light catching but not glittering.

7. Barry M Liquid Eye Liner, £4.79 – They are super reasonably priced so you can throw them away as soon as the sponge brush goes.

8. Chanel Nail Varnish, £18 – The best colours and a long lasting finish.

9. Maison and Pearson Hairbrush – Pasted on from my grandmother. I just don’t think you can beat this brand.

10. Dr Sebagh High Maintenance, £95 – So great for dry and sensitive skin. It’s a new find but I love it.
