We’ve also had a laugh thanks to this Instagram phenomenon – with a special mention to the hilarious celebrity photobomb and ultra cute pets pics – who doesn’t want to see a dog wearing sunglasses But the latest selfie trend – which we’ve cleverly dubbed the ‘healthie’ – is a little more serious.

Not content with making us feel inferior with their polished red carpet looks, some of the world’s most stylish stars have put us to shame with their exercise regimes. Whether it’s a yoga session on the beach or a workout at the gym, A-listers from Jessica Alba to Miley Cyrus have given us a behind the scenes glimpse at their gruelling training routines and they’re certainly not afraid of working up a little sweat for the camera.

Take Alba for example, a woman no one could accuse of being lazy, who’s currently on a self-imposed mission to hit the gym Every.Single.Day. Even after a night out in LA with Derek Blasberg the actress remained focused and ignored her hangover for the sake of a session on the treadmill. Similarly Miley Cyrus has built up an incredible bod (which she’s certainly not afraid to flaunt) through regular gym sessions and a dedication to yoga.

Speaking of yoga bunnies, the world’s biggest supermodels wouldn’t be without their daily Sun Salutations. Miranda Kerr, Gisele Bündchen and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley have all revealed photos of themselves doing yoga on Instagram, whether that’s a challenging arm balance like Rosie in Adho Mukha Vrksasana, a back bending heart opener like Miranda in Urdhva Dhanurasana or gentle twist like Gisele in Ardha Matsyendrasana.

Rosie even revealed the spiritual benefits of her practice as she shared a meditation pose with the caption “peace”.
