Amanda Seyfried Replaces Liv Tyler As The Face Of Givenchy’s Very Irresistible Fragrance

We knew that Ms Seyfried was a fan of Givenchy – the actress jetted over to Paris in February to watch the Autumn 2013 collection from the front row, she wore a nude mermaid fishtail frock to the Golden Globe Awards earlier this year and she opted for a fiery red tulle gown for the Vanity Fair party after the Oscars. And now we know the story behind her red carpet loyalty: Amanda is the new face of Givenchy’s fragrance campaign.

The star has been signed as the face of Very Irresistible Givenchy, taking over from her fellow Hollywood star Liv Tyler. This is Amanda’s second beauty campaign, as she is also the face of Clé de Peau Beauté, so already has that smouldering stare perfected.

And what was the star’s reaction to Givenchy’s job offer In true hilarious fashion, the beauty dropped the f-bomb. ‘F–k yeah. It’s an honest collaboration’, she tells WWD. ‘I’m proud to be a part of [the brands I’m involved with] because what they do is really cool, especially Givenchy — they’re so artistic. And I feel like I have a foot in the fashion industry now.’

The ad camapign was styled by none other than Mr Riccardo Tisci so we can expect the usual black and white chicness. It’ll include both print and TV ads shot by Glen Luchford (print) and Cédric Klapisch (TV) – but we’ll have to wait until October until we see Amanda x Givenchy featuring in the glossies.

So what can we expect from the campaign Well, for Liv’s ad she sported a smoky eye, glossy black lips and rock n’ roll attitute to sing Need You Tonight. We also saw Liv going for a midnight spin in a speed boat down the Seine in a VERY irresistible backless little black dress. So will Amanda showcase her musical talents too It’s no secret she’s a fan of strumming the ol’ guitar and showcased her marvellous singing chops in Les Mis.

Liv Tyler’s Givenchy campaign

With her mermaid-like beauty and tumbling blonde locks, it’ll be interesting to see her darker side for Givenchy. She’s not, however, likely to create her own celebrity fragrance as she told WWD, ‘They’re hard work, and the more you do, they take away from your work as an actor. I’m doing these two campaigns because I care about them and the people involved. They’re great things to be attached to.’
